They may refuse to accept their relationship publicly, but Salman Khan playing the knight in shining armour to Katrina Kaif recently, speaks volumes about the couple’s chemistry.
Apparently, Salman lodged a formal complaint against Mumbai’s 25-year-old Ajay Vasant Giri who allegedly called and sent lewd messages to Katrina.
“A police complaint has been lodged by us and now they will look into the matter. It’s a police case. There’s nothing more to say about this episode,” said the actress, who is busy attending a conference in Jaipur.
However, on saying that it’s nice to hear that Salman came to her help, the lady descends into a quiet mode, only murmuring that the episode is “sad” and she doesn’t have “much to say.”
On the topic of Sallu and shaadi, her stock reply is, “Marriage is not on the cards”.
With a packed year awaiting and Namastey London ready for release, she manages to sound ambitious, apologetic, determined and detached – all at the same time. And yes, her Hindi has improved.
Katrina calls the controversies about the length of her skirt at the Ajmer Sharif a “genuine misunderstanding”.
“Look, a mistake is a mistake. I have said sorry and given clarifications for offending the religious sentiments of people at Ajmer, and one ought to respect that,” says Kat.
The critics have not been very kind in their reviews about Katrina’s performance, but Katrina emphasises that she is here to stay.
“I started off as a model and gradually progressed to films. And that’s a big gap to bridge. There have been controversies and huge problems and I’m not expecting to be given an Oscar right away, but I must also say that I’m working very hard to remove my weaknesses. The slight problem lies in the fact that the media knew me as a model before I could venture into films. Now, people have started accepting me and I’m moving swiftly,” she says.
